Parent Newsletter 2024-2025
Dear Families,
Dear Parents and Guardians,
Welcome to the start of a new school year! As we settle into the routines of learning and growth, I want to express my gratitude for your continued support. September is a time of fresh beginnings, and our focus this month is on building strong connections between school and home, as we believe these partnerships are essential for student success.
September is also Attendance Awareness Month! Early school attendance can actually influence whether children read proficiently by the end of 3rd grade!! Did you know that if your child misses just two days each month that they miss a total of 50 hours of instruction in reading and over 35 hours of math instruction? Be sure to check out our attendance handout below. We will also be having a fun family Attendance Night event. Come as a family and enjoy a spaghetti dinner as well as some minute to win it games, a scavenger hunt, and a fun time!
We have many exciting activities and opportunities planned this year to engage your children in both academic and personal development. Please keep an eye on upcoming events, and don’t hesitate to reach out to our teachers and staff if you have any questions or concerns.
Let’s work together to make this school year the best one yet!
Warm Regards,
Lea Gray
Principal

Lost and found items are in the cafeteria. We have already collected several items in the lost and found, jackets, lunchboxes, cups, etc. If your student has misplaced an item please encourage them to check the lost & found.
All students should have their NAME on their items with a sharpie marker. This prevents us from donating these items.
**All items that are not claimed will be donated at the end of each 9 weeks (quarterly).
