Project Lead the Way

Project Lead The Way provides transformative learning experiences for PreK-12 students and teachers across the U.S. We create an engaging, hands-on classroom environment and empower students to develop in-demand knowledge and skills they need to thrive. Our pathways in computer science, engineering, and biomedical science engage students in hands-on activities, projects, and problems; empower them to solve real-world challenges; and inspire them to re-imagine how they see themselves. 

Year 1 of Grant-

5th Grade- Kristin Fitzgerald and Derek Bent

Modules they will be doing: Earth’s Water and Interconnected Systems and Matter: Properties and Reactions

Year 2 of Grant-

3rd Grade- All 3rd grade science teachers

Module: Weather 

4th Grade- All 4th grade science teachers

Module: Waves

3rd and 4th Grade Computer: Computer Teachers

Modules: Programming Patterns and Input/Output Computer  Science 

5th Grade- Kristin Fitzgerald and Derek Bent

Modules they will be doing: Earth’s Water, Interconnected Systems and Matter: Properties and Reactions and Ecosystems

8th Grade- Courtney Moore and Greg Cook

Module: Energy and the Environment

Year 3 of Grant-

All K-5 teachers will be teaching at least one module.
