Library Information

The mission of the library program is to help build a love of reading for personal and academic growth, and to teach students to become effective users of ideas, information, and technology. We strive to:

• Encourage students to dive deep into the world of reading.

• Provide a collection with stories that spark student's imagination, stories that reflect their own experiences, and stories that reflect the experiences of others.

• Encourage the pursuit of personal and academic interests through reading and research.

• Provide learning experiences designed to equip students with technology, information literacy, digital citizenship, and 21st-Century skills.

• Provide access to information in a variety of formats that contribute to lifelong learning.

• Empower students to become discriminating users of information.

• Encourage curiosity about the world around us.

• Provide materials that support the curriculum and student achievement.

• Extend and enhance classroom learning by providing spaces and resources to research, explore, learn, create, and collaborate.

• Promote technology and resources that make teaching and learning more effective and efficient.

• Provide flexible learning environments with tools that promote inquiry, creativity, critical thinking, communication, and collaboration.

• Provide spaces and tools for students to become creators of information and not just consumers.
