Library Mission Statement
The mission of the library program is to help build a love of reading for personal and academic growth, and to teach students to become effective users of ideas, information, and technology. We strive to:
Encourage students to dive deep into the world of reading.
Provide a collection with stories that spark student's imagination, stories that reflect their own experiences, and stories that reflect the experiences of others.
Encourage the pursuit of personal and academic interests through reading and research.
Provide learning experiences designed to equip students with technology, information literacy, digital citizenship, and 21st-Century skills.
Provide access to information in a variety of formats that contribute to lifelong learning.
Empower students to become discriminating users of information.
Encourage curiosity about the world around us.
Provide materials that support the curriculum and student achievement.
Extend and enhance classroom learning by providing spaces and resources to research, explore, learn, create, and collaborate.
Promote technology and resources that make teaching and learning more effective and efficient.
Provide flexible learning environments with tools that promote inquiry, creativity, critical thinking, communication, and collaboration.
Provide spaces and tools for students to become creators of information and not just consumers.
