Dear AHS Community,
As we start the 2026-2027 school year, wanted to share a quick recap of what AHS PTSA was able to do last year, all thanks to our members.
Last year, your membership helped us:
Support the Reflections Art Program for student creativity in visual arts, music, film & more
Fund Senior Scholarships for graduating students
Invest in Student Safety & Wellness, including hygiene initiatives and wellness resources
Celebrate our teachers through Welcome Back Lunch, Appreciation Week, and Staff Recognition events
Host the Meet the Staff Event so families could connect with teachers early on
Advocate for our students through grants and hygiene initiatives
None of this would have been possible without our members and this year, we're hoping to do even more.
Help Us Do It Again This Year
Whether you were a member last year or are considering joining for the first time, your membership directly funds the programs, scholarships, and support that make American High such a special place for our students.
Membership Options: Paper Membership: $13/person, or Totem Membership: $14/person ($1 platform convenience fee)
How to Join or Renew: Complete the membership form (included in Maze Day packet) and drop it off at the PTSA Table during Registration, Back-to-School Night, or the Front Office. Checks payable to American High PTSA.

Employer Matching: Ask your HR department if they match charitable donations — it could double your impact at no extra cost to you. All contributions are tax-deductible.

Membership dues are $13 per person. Please consider adding an additional donation to support our programs. Join American High PTSA and pay dues online using TOTEM, our electronic membership system. Your membership is TAX DEDUCTIBLE – EIN 23-7299953!

DONATIONS: Totem charges a convenience fee of 5%.
On a Donation of $100, PTSA receives $95.
Please consider increasing your donation accordingly to cover the fee.

Following are the fees associated with using PayPal or totem for donations
FEE: 2.2% + 30 cents per transaction.
This fee can be covered by you (the donor) or AHS PTSA can deduct it from your donation. Example - if you donate $100, you can pay the $2.50 to cover the cost or the AHS PTSA will get $97.20 from PayPal.
