May 20–29: Selection of participants, finalization of internship placements, and signing of internship agreements
June 1: Internships begin, with all interns and supervisors invited to an online program launch event
Late June (TBD): Interns participate in a professional development session on Financial Literacy in Life and Work
Late June/ Early July: American Councils conducts individual mid-point check‑ins with each intern and host
After the first month and attendance of the mid-point check-in: American Councils sends out the stipend to interns (either directly or via the local YES alumni office)
July (TBD): Interns participate in a professional development session on CV Development and Interview Skills for Landing Their Next Role
August (TBD): Interns participate in a professional development session on Effective Communication in the Workplace
August 28: Closing Event & Alumni Presentations
August 28–31: Internships conclude; interns and supervisors complete a feedback survey
