If someone is unsheltered, they are residing in a place not meant for human habitation, such as parks, sidewalks, cars, or abandoned buildings

If someone is sheltered, they are residing in an emergency shelteror transitional housing temporarily. Given that Nassau County has no shelter or transitional housing, this figure is interesting.
