PRESIDENT
Melissa Moss: A native Hoosier and “1st gen” college grad, Melissa has a B.S. in Mass Communications from Butler University. After 14 years in advertising & public relations, she started law school at 39, and received her J.D. from Georgia State College of Law. Now retired, she spent three decades in the nonprofit arena: primarily in legal aid, domestic violence/human trafficking and HIV/AIDS–focused organizations that provided direct services to low-income individuals and marginalized communities. She moved to Florida in 2013 to become Deputy Director of the Florida Bar Foundation. Melissa and husband Cameron, have lived in Fernandina for 8 years and are owned by their three French Bulldogs.
VICE PRESIDENT
Jeff Hirshberg: a New Jersey native, Jeff graduated from Bucknell University, and holds a PhD in Medieval Literature and an MBA from the University of Wisconsin. He has been a full-time resident of Amelia Island since 2020, having retired from his 36 years as a CPA in Buffalo. NY. He has served on and held leadership positions on numerous non-profit boards, and has acted as Treasurer for Congressional, mayoral, and school board campaigns (all for Democrats, of course). Locally, he and his wife Shelley take joy as active mentors in the Take Stock in Children program.
TREASURER
Kevin Catlin: Kevin moved here from New Jersey in 2021 with his wife Leigh Ann. Both joined DCAI soon after their move in order to meet like-minded people. Kevin is a Duke University graduate with a B.S. in Electrical Engineering. he worked for 30 years in the IT field as a consultant and for a global specialty chemicals company. He really enjoys helping the Club become more efficient and effective through implementation of new technologies. Kevin volunteers for the Medical Reserve Corps in NJ and FL and the Amelia Island History Museum,enjoys playing sports and is an avid golfer. He and Leigh Ann have two grown children and a yellow lab (Murphy). Both are retired and spend the summer months at the Jersey Shore.

Arlene Filkoff: Taised in Pass Christian, MS, Arlene graduated from the University of Alabama. She work in corporate America, primarily in the Northeast--her vice-presidential mission was to effect change. After her second corporate retirement, she and her husband Steve moved to Fernandina Beach Arlene served on the City Commission for three years, with one year as Mayor. After the Main Street program program lost its first Executive Director, Arlene volunteered to step in as interim director to keep the program alive. She also volunteers as a character actor at the Museum and is the current chair of the City's Historic District Commission.

Leigh Ann Catlin: Leigh Ann and husband Kevin happily traded the cold winters of Madison, NJ in 2021 for the weather here. Leigh Ann has a BA from Bucknell University in International Relations and Spanish. She spent 25+ years in international business, most recently serving as VP of International Business Development for a division of Johnson & Johnson. In her work she developed new international markets and managed the company’s international sales network for therapeutic skin care products in more than 85 countries. She’s excited to be able to use the experience gained in her career as well as in a variety of charitable and professional organizations in her role as Programs & Events Committee chair.
AT-LARGE/Young Voter Committee Chair
Crishelle Bailey Soles: Crishelle has lived in Fernandina Beach for over 14 years and is a graduate of Fernandina Beach High School. While attending Florida A&M University, she served as a student leader, spearheading campaigns on reproductive justice issues such as mandatory sexual assault education, menstrual product accessibility, domestic violence awareness, and abortion access. Now working as a community organizer, Crishelle continues to educate others on reproductive justice and empowers individuals to advocate for their own health. Recently married, she and her husband, Stone, enjoy exploring local restaurants and sharing laughs together.
