Today, 5 August, Dell Technologies made a generous contribution of RM138,000, which will be used to purchase 60 units of Dell laptops for the ‘Penang E-Learning Computer Programme’. Additionally, 60 units of refurbished Dell laptops were also donated.

Sanmina has made a donation of medical supplies to Hospital Kepala Batas to be used in the COVID-19 ICU wards. The items include 20 units of wall mounted oxygen flow meters and also 20 units of Disposable Humidifiers.

Last weekend, Micron Memory Malaysia, in partnership with Rotary Club and Al Rahman Mosque (Batu Ferringhi) donated supplies to 2 villages Kampung Kubur & Mutiara at Batu Ferringhi that were badly affected by floods recently. Approximately over 100 families were affected as water level rose above 6 feet. A boutique hotel was kind enough to accommodate all the affected families on the day of the floods.

Great work from the Jabil Penang team! They donated RM2,000 to the Penang Handicapped Welfare Association. The Association received groceries worth RM1,000 and cash amounting to RM1,000 to alleviate the home’s critical needs for upcoming Lunar New Year celebration.

Additionally, Residents in Saint (St.) Nicholas Home received red packets from Jabil Penang under Jabil Cares in conjunction with the Lunar New Year celebration. Kuala Lumpur, June 17, 2020 – AmMetLife Insurance Berhad (AmMetLife) and the MetLife Foundation are working with the Food Aid Foundation to provide food supplies for the B40 families who are affected by the COVID-19 pandemic. The Food Aid Foundation works with charities in Penang, Kedah, Negeri Sembilan and Sarawak through its “Food Bags for the Needy” programme which reaches people from rural areas, charity homes and refugees. Employees from AmMetLife and other MetLife entities will volunteer their time with the Food Aid Foundation in helping with the food preparation and distribution.

16 June 2020 - Multiple AMCHAM Members' Contribution to Hospital Ampang

On June 16, 2020, our very first batch of 2,442 units of Disposable Isolation Gowns was delivered to Hospital Ampang to aid in the battle against this pandemic.

Under the MY AMCHAM CARES COVID-19 CSR Initiative, our members - Abbott, Celestica, Herbalife Nutrition Malaysia, Laird Technology, McDermott, and MetLife Foundation came together and contributed a total of 12,210 units of Disposable Isolation Gowns to five hospitals across Malaysia. AMCHAM would like to sincerely thank our members for their kind contribution.

11 June 2020 - AmMetlife Insurance Berhad

MetLife Foundation in collaboration with AmMetLife Insurance Berhad for a generous contribution of RM189,244 towards the MY AMCHAM CARES COVID-19 Program. An estimate of 6,310 disposable isolation gowns will be purchased and delivered to 5 targeted hospitals within the Red Zones for approximately 250 healthcare workers working in Isolation Wards to treat COVID-19 patients. These hospitals include Hospital Ampang, Hospital Sg Buloh, Hospital Selayang, Hospital Lahad Datu and Hospital Umum Sarawak. This initiative aims to relieve the urgent need for PPE items/equipment from various hospitals and healthcare clinics in different states of Malaysia.

Flex

Flex has teamed up with MERCY Malaysia in an effort to curb the threat of COVID-19 in Malaysia. A donation of USD25,000 to Mercy Malaysia will be used to purchase personal protective equipment for the Malaysian Ministry of Health’s frontliners.
