Visas and Passports

  • All visitors travelling to India must have a valid passport and visa. Please ensure validity for at least 6 months after your travel.

  • REGULAR VISA - You can apply online at http://indianvisaonline.gov.in/visa/indianVisaReg.jsp

  • All the requisite information in terms of photographs and details are available at: http://indianvisaonline.gov.in/visa/

  • Visas can be obtained through the Indian Embassy or Consulate General in your country of residence.

  • E VISA - In November 2014, India Introduced Electronic Travel Authorization for Citizens of Designated countries to apply for an On-line Visa on Arrival to India:

    1. To apply for the ETA please visit the website: - https://indianvisaonline.gov.in/visa/tvoa.html

    2. ETA is issued for tourism, visiting friends & family, Medical Treatment and Business Visits.

    3. Apply as early as possible- the last limit is 4 days in advance of the date of arrival.

    4. Visa is valid for 30 days from the date of arrival and can be obtained twice in a year. Multiple entry E-visas are being issued for 365 days.

    5. The visa approval is emailed to you if you meet the conditions, and the visa is stamped in your passport on arrival in India.

  • Those visiting neighboring countries (e.g. Nepal, Bhutan, Tibet, Sri Lanka and Pakistan) and departing from India they should apply multiple entry visa.
