SWAHILI PROVERBS: METHALI ZA KISWAHILI
A Personal Healing Journey
As a therapist, I embrace a person-centered approach grounded in narrative and relational psychotherapy. My own life story as an African-born, orphaned adoptee, along with my identity as a Black male, informs my practice. I deeply value the unique complexities of each individual’s narrative and how it shapes who they are today. Together, we will explore how your life story impacts you in the present. I aim to build a therapeutic relationship supporting your journey to discovering Amani, or peace.
My Theory of Change:
I believe that personal growth occurs through self-discovery and integrating fragmented parts of the self. In our work together, with your permission, my goal is to create an environment where you can identify these fragmented aspects. We will explore how to connect these parts to your present self, allowing for healing and wholeness. I encourage you to bring your whole self into our sessions as we cultivate a supportive space that fosters your peace.
