Amanda is a licensed therapist and owner of Amanda Twombly LLC.
Amanda earned her bachelors in psychology and human services in 2010 proceeded by a masters of education in school counseling in 2013 and has continued her post-masters education. She has worked in community agencies within the realm of addictions, the school setting as a school counselor and 504 coordinator, and as a mental health therapist in private practice.
Professional training beyond masters degree: In March of 2021, Amanda joined a cohort of other therapists, through the Missouri Child Trauma Network, to learn and implement Trauma Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, intended for use with individuals aged 3 - 19 years of age. In January of 2024, Amanda received training from an EMDRIA approved vendor, EMDR consulting, in EMDR to support adult clientele. In March of 2025, Amanda began training from the Gottman Institute on Level 1, 2, and 3.
Additionally, she utilizes motivational interviewing, solutions focused therapy, and cognitive behavioral therapy for all ages.

Outside of her professional life, Amanda is a wife and mother to two rambunctious little people. Her family enjoys hiking, kayaking, and cooking together.
