For your attendance you will be required to complete all assignments by11:59pm on the assigned due date. (If you know you will be on vacation or have appointments, make sure you complete your courses prior to the assigned date).
You must complete all assignments to meet the attendance requirements each week.
You will only receive an email if you have absence hours.
It is our goal for students to take an active role in their education and learn communication skills to prepare them for life beyond high school.
To help our students, we are asking the following:
Students should be reaching out to Mrs. Kleinline with any requests, questions, or concerns (see office hours). Emailing anyone else
(secretary, principal, grader, or emailing through the program) will delay this process.
Adding parents to the email is completely acceptable.
Students are required to check their emails and Google Classroom daily as all important information will be delivered in one or both of those areas.
When emailing please be patient and allow for a maximum of 24 hours for a reply.
Classes are conducted in the ADA room all day until 1:40 pm. Then, there are office hours until 2:40 pm.
Information and references will be added to Google Classroom throughout the year. This is a requirement, all students must accept the Google Classroom invitation that has been sent to them.
All courses need to be followed in the order that they are given. DO NOT SKIP AROUND. DO ASSIGNMENTS IN ORDER.
In addition to the directions that are listed with the assignment, please be sure that all written assignments will need to be completed and graded by the following standards:
Answering ALL prompts and questions in complete sentences
Spelling and Grammar
You must cite any source that you use (written, pictures, etc.)
(PurdueOwl is a great resource for help with citing)
Plagiarism will not be tolerated. (This includes using AI to complete assignments) Please be aware graders will be checking for it.
Your work on each assignment will be completely your own.
Plagiarism (use of other people's work) will not be tolerated.
Students will not misuse content from the internet.
All information must be cited properly.
Consequences
First Occurrence-Assignment will be given a zero grade and able to resubmit assignment.
Second Occurrence-Meeting will be held with student and student's parents.

Loss of any consideration for any local Amanda-Clearcreek Scholarships
Possible placement on Social Probation
Additional consequences could include staff members being able to provide letters of recommendation
Possible removal from online courses and return to in person.
Students must have 2 quality points to pass each semester course.
All course are set as semester courses
Courses that are considered full year courses are broken into:
Part A (taken first semester)
Part B (taken second semester)
Progress Timeline
1st Semester
Students will be 50% complete with courses by the end of the quarter.
Students will be 100% complete with courses by the end of the quarter. End of Part A courses.
2nd Semester
Students will be 50% complete with courses by the end of the quarter.
Students will be 100% complete with courses by the end of the quarter.
If a student does not meet minimum attendance or academic requirements, the student will be deemed as Academic Non-Compliant. Discipline for Non-Compliance includes the following:
Written Notice of Non-Compliance (1st Warning)
Students will be required to attend SAC for duration of lab hours (excludes level I students) (2nd Notice)
Removal from the ADA (excludes level I students) (3rd notice)
Suspension
Expulsion from Amanda-Clearcreek Local Schools
Level I students in Non-Compliance could be recommended to attend the Success Center.
Student attendance will be tracked and monitored the same as all Amanda-Clearcreek High School (ACHS) students and reported to the Attendance Officer when needed.
The ADA has the ability to serve students with IEPs who will have the support of an ACHS intervention specialist. However, this support may require in-person time. Students on an IEP can contact the director for assistance as needed.
The Student Achievement Center will be open Monday-Friday from 7:25-2:00. Students are responsible for signing in and out. If they fail to do so, the hours they are in SAC may not be counted.
All full-time online students reporting to ACHS to receive support in the SAC must sign in at the main office immediately upon arrival. These students must then sign out when finished in the main office and may not remain on campus.
Students attending ADA full time: Students will report directly to the Student Achievement Center upon arrival at the school. ADA students are never to be in the main high school wings or cafeteria. Students must sign in when they arrive. Students who sign out before the end of the school day may not remain on the ACHS campus.
Students who sign in/out for other students or are found on the ACHS campus during school hours after having signed out are subject to disciplinary actions which may include removal from the ADA.
All students who graduate from the ADA will receive a Amanda-Clearcreek High School diploma. Therefore, they will be required to meet the graduation requirements as set forth in the ACHS student handbook.
It is the responsibility of the student to meet all the requirements for graduation. The ADA staff will make every opportunity to keep students and parents informed about their graduation status. This will include core requirements, number of credits and any other issues that may affect graduation. However, it is the student’s responsibility to know the requirements and to monitor progress towards graduation. Amanda-Clearcreek High School graduation requirements are established by the State of Ohio: Ohio's Graduation Requirements. A minimum of (22) credits will be required. The following courses must be met to meet the requirements for graduation:

All students will be required to meet state testing requirements.
ADA students must take the end-of-course exams which include the following:
Algebra I
Geometry
Biology
American History
American Government
English II
These exams are given in-person and students must come to the school in order to have these exams administered at assigned times which will me emailed to students in the weeks prior to testing in the fall and spring.

It is the right of every student who attends school to have the opportunity to receive a quality education, uninterrupted by conduct or behaviors of others that take away from the educational setting. Students have the responsibility to act in such a manner as to maintain appropriate educational atmosphere and not interfere with the rights of others in the same educational setting. Students may forfeit their rights when conduct is such that it disrupts the educational process. Students must understand that while at school, on school grounds or at school sponsored activities, they are subject to the student code of conduct.
ADA students are expected to adhere to all requirements set in ACHS Student Handbook with the following additions:
Students enrolled full time in the ADA are not permitted to leave assigned areas. Students should only use designated eating and restroom areas.
Students are expected to do their own schoolwork. A student shall not commit academic fraud. A student shall not plagiarize work to enhance his/her own work.
Students are expected to take proper care of computers, furniture and equipment in the Student Achievement Center. Damaging or defacing school property will not be tolerated.
Students are expected to control behavior that would be perceived as “horseplay”. This includes pushing, hitting, chasing or other acts that disturb or disrupt a controlled setting.
Profanity and/or inappropriate comments directed towards any person, especially those in authority will not be tolerated.
Students are expected to use the internet as an educational device. Students and parents are expected to read and sign the Student Network and Internet acceptable use and safety agreement. A violation of this agreement may result in dismissal from ADA.
All students who enter SAC must place their Cell Phone in designated area. Failure to do so will lead to immediate discipline action and could lead to removal from the ADA.
Violations of any student expectations will result in disciplinary action including detention, suspension and/or removal from the ADA.
Students with a valid driver’s license enrolled in the ADA must follow all parking requirements in the ACHS Student Handbook.
Students who plan on participating in ACHS athletics will need to note the updated requirements. In order to be eligible, ADA students must:
Be enrolled in 5 full credit courses
Have a minimum of 25% progress made in those 5 courses at the conclusion of each grading period. (ex: Q1= 25%, Q2 = 50%, Q3 = 75%, Q4 = 100%)
Maintain a GPA of 2.0 based on their published grades at the end of each grading period
Option 3 students taking a single ADA class may count the current class they are taking as one of the 5 required courses by OHSAA for eligibility provided they are passing and making the appropriate amount of progress for each grading period.
Students who wish to work and are in good academic standing may be eligible for work release. Students will be required to do the following:
Attend a minimum of 3 hours each day in the SAC or at home.
Student must be currently employed and log work hours for monthly submission
Work logs must be supplemented by pay stubs or supervisor signature
The ADA Director is to visit/communicate with the student’s work location monthly
Students must work at least an average of 10 hours per week
Failure to complete these requirements in a month will lead to Academic Non-Compliance
Students in Work Release program must remain in “good standing” to remain in work release program
Students on work release may be eligible for Athletics as long as they are enrolled in at least 3 full credit courses.
