At the elementary level, Science Olympiad takes advantage of the natural curiosity of each student, and allow for in-depth hands-on experiences.

At the middle School level, Science Olympiad competitions consist of a series of 23 team events in each division. Each year, a portion of the events are rotated to reflect the ever-changing nature of genetics, earth science, chemistry, anatomy, physics, geology, mechanical engineering and technology. In Science Olympiad, emphasis is placed on active, hands-on group participation. Most recently, Amana competed in the Chattahoochee Invitational.
