In an effort to help our AMAESD teachers in this unprecedented situation we are sharing a list of distance learning resources that are recommended by fellow educators. Some may fit into your curriculum. They may not follow state standards directly, but the content will be sound. Please keep in mind that this page will be updated regularly. Math Resources K-12

The Actuarial Foundation (4-12) - The Actuarial Foundation promotes math achievement that contributes to financial literacy through an array of free, interactive, real-world resources. All of these lesson plans, discussion materials, posters, online activities and competitions are specifically tailored to meet the needs of students in grades 4-12 and their teachers.

Khan Academy (K-12) - What is Khan Academy? We offer exercises, quizzes, and tests so students can practice and master skills. This resource will help students focus on ACT and SAT prep.

Knowledge on the Go from Great Minds (K-12)-Eureka math videos, lessons, and content posted daily by grade level.

NCTM Illuminations (K-12) - Interactive games, played online, used to support a wide variety of mathematics content.

NZMaths (K-12) - The goal of NZMath units is to encourage students to think mathematically and become confident and comfortable with the mathematics they are using. Our units provide sufficient activities for a week of teaching. We imagine that as a teacher you might want to combine our units with other resources to extend the unit.

SFUSD Mathematics READY TO USE (K-5)- SFUSD has produced 10 days of activities that teachers can choose to assign to students for them to complete at home.

Math Playground Thinking Blocks (K-6) -This site includes real world problems with visual prompts. Students can use interactive models to solve the problems.

Math Learning Center Apps (K-5)- Includes interactive visual models for fractions, geometry, time, money, and number sense

Precalculus/Trigonometry

  1. Start with the grade level below for a review.

  2. Work your way through each lesson. If it’s too easy, move to course challenges and unit tests to accelerate.

  3. The previous year’s content could take anywhere from 1-3 hours. It is an opportunity to review and reinforce.

  4. Aim for 30 minutes a day of Math practice.

  5. On grade level work could aim for leveling up 3 skills a day.
