Paint the Town Purple serves as the official start to the Walk Season with fun, festivities, and fundraising to build awareness of the organization, increase teams and registered walkers, and raise funds for the Knoxville Walk to End Alzheimer's.
During this week, area business, families and individuals will be joining together to help fight for Alzheimer's first survivor. This event aims to raise awareness and funds for Alzheimer's education, support and research.

About the Walk to End Alzheimer's ®
The Knoxville Walk to End Alzheimer's will be held Saturday, September 21st at Zoo Knoxville.
On Walk day, participants honor those affected by Alzheimer's with the poignant Promise Garden ceremony - a mission-focused experience that signifies our solidarity in the fight against the disease. The colors of the Promise Garden flowers represent people's connection to Alzheimer's - their personal reasons to end the disease.
The Alzheimer’s Association Walk to End Alzheimer’s ® is the world’s largest event to raise awareness and funds for Alzheimer’s care, support and research. Last year, over 600 walks nationwide raised 90.2 million dollars.
