ABOUT THE YELLOWJACKET THEATRE COMPANY

The Yellowjacket Theatre Company is the historically acclaimed theatre program at Alvin High School in Alvin, TX. Our mission is to provide the highest caliber of theatrical experiences for our students so that they may best serve our community as artists, leaders, and citizens.

The Yellowjacket Theatre Company offers courses in performance and technical production. Alvin High School students have the opportunity to participate in a full-length play, a musical, the UIL One Act Play Competition, UIL Prose and Poetry competitions, and in pop shows in collaboration with the Alvin HS Choir throughout the school year. Additionally, the International Thespian Society Troupe #2955 is highly active, participating and competing in the Texas Thespians State Festival each year.

Beyond our commitment to the cultural life of Alvin High School, the Yellowjacket Theatre Company helps define new directions in the culture of our community by providing theatrical experiences for our junior high and elementary school students.
