May - New game reveal at the conclusion of VEX World Championship
August - School starts; Tryouts and selection process for new teams; Ideally, teams should begin meeting and planning and club officer elections should be held by month's end
September - Official VEX IQ Tournaments begin; Students should be building and testing robots by now
September/October - Teams should spectate an official VEX IQ Tournament as soon as possible
November 21 - Alvin ISD Recreational League Scrimmage*
December 12 - Alvin ISD Recreational League Scrimmage*
January 20 & 27 - Alvin ISD Competition League Tournament (Will be an official VEX IQ Event)*
February 3 & 10 - Alvin ISD Competition League Tournament (Will be an official VEX IQ Event)*
February 27 - Alvin ISD Recreational League Scrimmage*
Late February - VEX IQ Regular season ends
March - VEX IQ State/Regional Championships
Late April/Early May - VEX World Championship
