The district policy is 50% percent major grades and 50% minor grades

The district policy for APA is 55% percent major grades and 45% minor grades

• Minor Grades: daily work/participation

• Major Grades: quizes, tests, projects

You will earn up to 20 points per day, totaling up to 100 points each week (20 points for participation and activities)

• Ways to earn the full 20 points include: having all your supplies, staying on task, appropriate use of electronics, following classroom/school rules, and completing all assignments

At least 1 daily assignment (minor) per week will be graded for accuracy

Major grades to expect each chapter

• Quiz

• Chapter test or project

Late or Make up work

• -10 points if 1 day late

• -20 points if 2 days late

• -30 points if 3 days late

• Late work after 3 days is at the teacher's discretion

• Students have 2 days per 1 class absence to turn in missed work

Retests and assignment re-dos

Any student may earn the opportunity to redo any assignment or retest any assessment within a

timely manner once they receive their test back (no minimum grade required). All

reassessments will be of equal or greater rigor to the original assessment. The following

guidelines must be met to be able to retest an assessment:

• Students may only be able to redo an assignment for full credit if the original assignment was submitted.

• To retest for full credit of an assessment the student must attend a minimum of one tutoring session within one week of input on skyward.

• Students not attending tutoring may be denied reassessment by the teacher.
