Course Description:

English II is a tested subject for the End of Course (EOC) Exam in the state of Texas; therefore, we will be working on building our reading and writing skills.

• This year we will be utilizing the 180 Day framework where students read, write, study, create, and share almost, if not, every day.

• We will be reading multiple genres, including short stories, poems, fiction, non-fiction, articles, academic texts, and more… . 

• Most of the reading will take place in class; however, we are strongly encouraging reading outside of class to build up reading stamina. Reading every day will be a goal that we continuously work toward.
