Dance auditions
COMING SOON!!!

For all students who want to audition for a speaking role, you will have to learn the dance in the video below before your chosen audition day. Learn it and rehearse, rehearse, rehearse. It doesn't have to be perfect. NO EXPERIENCE IS NEEDED! All types of dancers are welcomed even NON-DANCERS. I just need to see that you worked on it and what I have to work with. Your dance audition will help me see your dedication, and talent. It will also assist me in determining where to put you in the dances. However, it will not be the only factor that the directors will consider in casting the show.

During the audition, you will be sectioned into groups. While some are doing their singing audition, some will be with me doing their dance audition. When you are with me, I will review the steps with you briefly. We will rehearse a couple times, then, your group will perform together as a group.

For questions about the dance audition, see Mrs. Bell or email me at jjbell@alvinisd.net

I look forward to seeing you shine during auditions and on stage!

Thank you for your patience.

AFTER WATCHING THE VIDEO, KEEP SCROLLING IF YOU ARE INTERESTED IN BEING A DANCE CAPTAIN OR DANCE LEADER.

MIRROR ME!

That means you are copying me as if you are looking at me your own reflection.

You always start on your RIGHT SIDE except for only one.

NOTE: Always start on YOUR right for the first count of each 8 count.

Interested in being a DANCE CAPTAIN OR a FEATURED DANCER?

What is a DANCE CAPTAIN? And what is a FEATURED DANCER? A DANCE CAPTAIN will work closely with the choreographer and will assist her with teaching the dances to the actors/ dancers. A DANCE CAPTAIN IS ALSO A FEATURED DANCER. A FEATURED DANCER will be in dance ensembles. She/ he may or may not have dance solos. The dances of the FEATURED DANCERS may be more complex. DANCE CAPTAINS & FEATURED DANCERS will have some rehearsals strictly committed for their dances.

All candidates for both positions are still required to be at the auditions. COMPLETE THE REGULAR SIGN-UP FORM. If you do not wish to sing and you only want to dance, sign up for non-speaking role audition spots.

If you are interested in  auditioning as a DANCE CAPTAIN or FEATURED DANCER, complete the form below. This form is required BEFORE you can audition.

DEADLINE: November 18th OR 19th.
