You will need the following daily materials for this school year for all students in English VI and APA English II:
100 page composition notebook (1) OR spiral notebook
Blue or Black pens ONLY
Highlighters
A book to read (What this book will be will vary depending on the day's assignment.)
Very useful, but not mandated: A personal digital device (laptop, tablet, smartphone). From time to time, we will engage in digital polls, games, etc in class, so having a device will be helpful.
Required Reading
English III
You will need the following text for whole class discussion this year:
Daily Independent Choice: We will read and discuss literature this school year, so be ready. I am a firm believer in student choice building a love for reading, so you will be able to choose your own books for independent reading. We read every day, so you must have a book available every day.
Fall Semester: The Crucible by Arthur Miller
Spring Semester: Clap When They Land by Elizabeth Acevedo
Book Club units are planned for the Fall and Spring semesters. As we get closer to the units, I will advise you as to the choices you will have to pick from in the book club.

As we get closer to the Book Club unit, I will advise you as to the choices you will have to pick from. Additionally, Senior students will be required to maintain a Digital Portfolio Website.
