During our time at Ganges we spent many hours playing sport and taking part in organised recreational activities. Our 'sports rig' was something to behold as we wore a Navy blue shirt with a while collar, white shorts that went down to our knees, and white plimsols. Below (right) is one of our classmates wearing the aforementioned outfit.
We were required to join in with all kinds of "fun" events such as climbing the mast, doing "chariot" or other races on the parade ground, numerous sports and a whole lot more. The image at the bottom shows a group of juniors, including some from 320/321 after the assault course - not for the faint-hearted.....

The mast was a major element of all who served there - At least one boy (Dennis Barnard of 320) among our classes climbed to the top (button). Some of us were content with climbing up to the lower mast (75 ft) or Half Moon and navigating around "Devil's Elbow".
