Daily Lesson Plans for Mrs. Plow are posted on her Mathematics and Science Google Classrooms
I am so glad you are visiting my page. I've been teaching 5th grade at Troy since 2009. Troy is my second home and I LOVE it here because I love what I do.
We will be doing a lot of thinking in mathematics and science this year. Opportunities to grow and learn are endless in and out of the classroom. However, in order to make the school year a success, here are a few important things you need to know....
Communication
I am always available to answer your questions. I believe that open communication between us is important to your success, so please contact me at any time. Although you can see me face-to-face during the school day, E-mail gina.plow@alcsoh.org is preferred outside of school hours. Phone calls or written notes on paper are also great. My contact information is at the top of this page.
Remember, Google Classroom will contain all the materials you need too. So, make sure to check these places regularly if you have questions about lessons/classwork/homework, especially if you are absent.
I love trees. Have you seen a tree prettier than this one? It's a beauty and a great climbing tree too. You can find this tree and a few others exactly like it in Plaza de Espana ("Spanish Square" in English), in Hagatna, Guam. I grew up on Guam and last visited in July 2025.
By the way, on the island of Guam, this type of tree is called håyun lågu, meaning “northern tree” or “foreign tree.” The English name is ROYAL POINCIANA BLOSSOM.
