Greetings! This page is to help public libraries create policies at the local level. Starting January 1, 2016, all ALS public libraries are required to have six policies in place with library board approval to comply with membership.

Here are the six required policies with library board approval and examples — these have been converted to either PDF or word documents so libraries can easily access the language for their own policies:
