PE days: please have your child wear tennis shoes and appropriate PE attire.

Short-term excuses for non-participation

A student can be excused from PE. The student's parent or legal guardian must email Mrs. Hitchcock before class begins. Emails are preferred. lhitchcock@alsd.org If parents or legal guardians do provide a handwritten note, the note must have the student's full name, teacher’s name, and parent phone number. I do try to call parents to validate the note. A student can only provide the note for up to 3 school days. If the student has a note for the following PE class (after the 3 days), I will need a doctor's note.

Long-term excuses for non-participation

Students who need to be excused for more than 3 school days will need to provide documentation from a physician regarding the student’s injury or other health-related conditions. Students who are unable to physically participate in PE will be provided with alternative activities.
