Socially Engaged Art

Socially Engaged Art is a collaborative, cultural event of sharing or creating in order to engage others with a purpose toward an outcome or group goal. It can include any art form which involves people and communities in debate, collaboration or social interaction.

Examples are abundant, but one of the most familiar to this region of the world is the quilting bee.
