DRAMA FOUNDATIONS  (7th Grade) 

This course is made for those who are interested in having fun! Through the class students will get  out of your comfort zone through acting and performance activities! It is a great class to make new friends and collaborate on projects together!

DRAMA 1  (8th/9th Grade)

This course is made for those who already have some introduction to Drama and Theater or those who crave to learn more about it! The course is an intermediate study of Acting & Performance skills.

DRAMA 2  (8th/9th Grade) 

Audition Required -  Auditions are held in Feb/March for the following Fall. See Upcoming Auditions . 

This course is the advanced Acting and Performing class offered at Viewpoint. Students should already have some knowledge and background in Drama before taking this course. Students will have the opportunity to perform their skills in an after-school play on the auditorium stage!

STAGE CREW  (8th/9th Grade)

Application Required - Applications can be filled out in Feb/March for the following Fall. See Upcoming Auditions . 

A specialized group of students that operate the technical aspects of any event in the auditorium, such as: Assemblies, Concerts, Building Rentals, and Plays. Students must be trained and willing to operate technical equipment and such as the Sound Board, Light Board, Spot Lights, and Backstage Curtains without direct supervision. They will help build and run the after-school Musical Production. 

Through the course, students will explore different areas of Theatrical Design and be trained on equipment to further study the practical implementation of theatrical designs.

MUSICAL THEATRE 1   (7th/8th Grade)

Students enrolled in Musical Theatre 1 will get hand-on experience in acting, singing, and dancing through Musical Theater! 

The course will focus on beginning performance skills including auditioning, acting through song, vocal and physical expression, rehearsal, and performance. Students will perform in a Showcase at then end of the semester.

MUSICAL THEATRE 2  (8th/9th Grade)

Audition required - Auditions are held in Feb/March for the following Fall. See Upcoming Auditions . 

Students enrolled in Musical Theatre 2 will automatically be cast in Viewpoint's Musical! Specific roles will be determined through in-class auditions. 

This course will focus on building on the skills of Rehearsal, and Performance in a production. Students will continue to develop techniques specific to Musical Theatre performance with a Showcase and a full after-school production.
