Everyone needs a little help sometimes, and that’s okay! Whether it’s asking a teacher a question, using advisory time to catch up, or getting focused help during WIN time, you have plenty of options to make sure you’re on track.
Your Teachers: They want you to succeed! If you don’t understand something, raise your hand, email them, or stop by before or after school.
Advisory: This is a perfect time to study and work on homework.
WIN Time: Need extra help? Request to be Win timed to a specific teacher during advisory so you can focus on what you need most!
Organization is the key to success! From writing down assignments to checking Canvas every day, small habits can make a big difference in staying on top of your schoolwork. Let’s make sure you’re always one step ahead!
Write It Down: Use a planner or notebook to track your assignments, tests, and due dates. Review it at the start and end of each day. Writing it down will better help you remember it.
Check Canvas Daily: Canvas is your best friend! Log in every day to see assignments, announcements, and grades.
Make It a Habit: Set a reminder to check Canvas or update your planner at the same time each day.
Use Sticky Notes or Apps: Leave reminders in your locker or use a reminder app on your phone for important deadlines.
Life happens, but missing school doesn’t mean falling behind! By planning ahead, catching up quickly, and staying engaged, you can handle absences like a pro while keeping your learning on track.
Plan Ahead: If you know you’ll be gone, let your teachers know in advance so you can get your assignments.
Follow Up: After an unexpected absence, check Canvas, talk to your teachers, and catch up on missed work right away. Don’t wait and let it pile up.
Why Attendance Matters: Every day in class builds on what you’ve already learned. Showing up helps you stay on track and reduces stress later.
Goals aren’t just for athletes—they’re your secret weapon for success! Learn how to set SMART goals, track your progress, and celebrate your wins to stay motivated and achieve your dreams.
How to Do It:
Start Small: Set daily or weekly goals, like finishing a project or studying for 30 minutes.
Make SMART Goals: Be Specific, Measurable, Achievable, Relevant, and Time-bound. For example: “I will finish my science project by Friday by working on it 30 minutes a day.”
Track Progress: Use a checklist or journal to celebrate progress and identify areas to improve.
Reflect and Adjust: If something isn’t working, tweak your approach or seek advice from a teacher or counselor.
Stress happens, but it doesn’t have to control you! Discover simple techniques to stay calm, recharge your brain, and keep your body and mind in tip-top shape for success.
Take Brain Breaks: Study for 20–30 minutes, then take a 5-minute break to recharge. Set a timer on your phone to help keep track of the time and to help you focus on the task at hand.
Stay Active: Physical activity helps reduce stress—try walking, stretching, or playing sports.
Sleep is Essential: Aim for 8–10 hours of sleep each night to stay sharp and focused. Put your phone away at night to help with this.
