Animal reports- San Diego Zoo
Choose 1 animal to research. If you are not sure look at the San Diego kids website and decide from there
Demonstrate for students how to fill out worksheet- (Make sure your name is on your paper).
Each animal will have 3 cards that give the same information: size, food, habitat or as the worksheet says: What they look like, what they eat, and where they live
I have the row leader on the end come and get papers and pencils for their row. Collect papers of students that are not finished by row, if they finished they can take it home.
Students that finish need to get checked off by the teacher and can then go to ABCYA
Go over animal reports again and San Diego Zoo Website. Show students who are finished what they can do on the website
Students that finished with their animal reports can play explore the San Diego Zoo Site (I show them where to find videos and games) or play "Living Legends", which is a fun game they like on the site
While students are logging in pass out animal papers and pencils
If students have completed their animal project give them an animal sticker and tell them they can take them home. This is the last day of animal reports so they are all going home at the end of class
