Scholarship information changes often. While new scholarships are added, and others are discontinued. Links, deadlines and qualifications change. Use the contact page to notify us of broken links, out of date information or valuable scholarships you have discovered & applied for.

Tips for searching for Scholarships on your own:

  • September of your Senior year is the best time to pursue scholarships
  • Search Scholarbox, linked from the LPHS Counseling Page
  • Do a google search. Search: scholarship + (and then insert defining words). You might put 'culinary arts' or 'interior design' or 'dental assisting'. Do the search using different terms to identify the field you are looking for.
  • Sites ending in ".org" are usually non-profit sites and are often good opportunities

US Presidential Scholars in Career & Technical Education

Student must be nominated by their District. Teachers submit recommended applicant to the District.

Utah Career and Technical Education Scholarship

CTE Scholarships and Tuition Awards are for outstanding Career and Technical Education (CTE) students. The awards cover up to one year of tuition. Eligible applicants have a 1:2 odds of receiving an award. Would you spend four to five hours compiling a portfolio to receive well over $1,500? That's the reality of students applying for the over 100 CTE scholarships and tuition awards.

Timpanogos Regional Hospital Volunteer Aux Healthcare Scholarship

For Seniors who plan to pursue and have acceptance for study in healthcare.

The Kay Battista Scholarship for Future Outstanding Educators

For seniors seeking their first teaching certificate.

Utah Energy Workforce Scholarship

Over the past two years OED has partnered with Chevron to advance Utah’s energy workforce by providing 13 scholarships, totaling $48,000 to high school seniors who intend to pursue a Science, Technology, Engineering, or Math (STEM) field of study or trade certification at a Utah institution of higher learning. This includes:

  • Five $4,000 scholarships for students attending a Utah college or university
  • Five $2,000 scholarships for students attending a Utah technical college

America First Charitable Foundation Scholarship

The mission of the America First Charitable Foundation is to encourage and administer contributions for educational scholarships. These are awarded based on a student's commitment to community service as well as leadership and academic potential. They are intended to help America First members pursue post-secondary education and training.

  • 80 - $1000 scholarships
  • America First Credit Union Members
  • Graduating Seniors or undergrads in college/university or technical college
  • Passion for serving and helping others

Horatio Alger Career & Technical Scholarship Program

The Horatio Alger Association is now accepting student applications for its career and technical scholarships until June 15. This year, the association will award 1,020 new CTE scholars to pursue their academic programs at community colleges and nonprofit institutions with a maximum award amount of $2,500 depending on the length of program and need of the student.

Geneva Rock Scholarship

A scholarship essay contest in support of students dedicated to building the future. For Seniors who are planning to pursue a career in a construction related career. Seniors currently enrolled in another institution may also apply during their senior year.


Deadline: July 2 for Fall Semester | November 15 for Spring Semester

American Fork Hospital Volunteer Scholarship

National Center for Women in Information Technology (NCWIT): Aspirations in Computing.

This is an awards competition for girls between 9th and 12th grade that can result in scholarships

The NCWIT Award for Aspirations in Computing (AiC) honors women in grades 9 through 12 who are active and interested in computing and technology, and encourages them to pursue their passions. Award for AiC recipients are chosen for their demonstrated interest and achievements in computing, proven leadership ability, academic performance, and plans for post‑secondary education.


Deadline: Applications for the 2019 Award for Aspirations in Computing are closed. Applications for 2020 will open in September

MTECH - Technical College Scholarship

For new graduates pursuing or continuing education at MTECH in a number of fields. See links below for more information.

Application will be available on their website by May 20. Students must have applied to be students by then to receive a student ID number.
