WHAT IS A SEEDPOD?

A portable trailer, or “pod” that contains all of the resources designed to help students master the SEEd standards and become more familiar with STEM fields at an early age. The resources are organized by themes and grouped into lesson plans to help teachers learn unfamiliar concepts quickly and prepare to teach the SEEd standards with confidence.

The project is modeled after Utah’s new Science and Engineering Education (SEEd) standards, which integrate principles of engineering with science subjects. Each school will host the pods for a 6-week interval so every teacher has the time to play with their students and the materials.

Teachers, the SEEdPods must be requested by your principal. Please share your interest in the Pods with them. Your principal will receive an email in the spring to sign up for SEEd Pods the following school year.

Even if your principal did not schedule the SEEd Pods ... you can still reserve individual kits through the ASD Instructional Media Center ...
