Notice that the butterfly has a LINE OF SYMMETRY. That means that every part of the butterfly on one side is repeated exactly on the other side. Like a mirror image!

Fold your paper in half to create a LINE OF SYMMETRY
Use paint to create ONE SIDE of your butterfly
Fold over quickly (before the paint dries!) and rub...
You will have a butterfly!
When it dries, use a sharpie to outline the body, the wings, and the veins in the wings... if you wish.
