Time Capsule

April 22, 2020

We are living in such an unusual and memorable time! This 11 page download will help us remember this experience forever. You could make one time capsule for your whole family or print a copy for each person to make their own. I hope this project is helpful as we are all facing unique challenges during this time. Stay safe, artists!

Hello Black Ridge Artists! Fourth through sixth grades were working on a really cool string art project that GLOWS! Here's a quick video of the projects for everyone to see the black light glow. I found a cheap flashlight-style black light so I can make more glowing projects at home. I'll share those with you soon! Enjoy these other videos that explain why some animals glow. So cool!

Challenge!

Use the color wheel you made as a guide to create a color wheel with small items from your house. Try not to use the same thing more than once (I had 6 dice of different colors but only used one). You can make a small color wheel like mine or a huge one!

You could also come up with a theme: game pieces, books, food...

Or use your art supplies and make a wheel of crayons, markers, etc!

Email a picture of your wheel to me!

Color Wheel

Hi Artists! I hope you enjoy my first Art at Home video! In this episode we are making color wheels. You’ll need some paper and crayons or markers or colored pencils, or whatever you have that is colorful! We will use these color wheels for a couple other projects so keep yours in a safe spot.

If you want, your parents can email a picture of your work to me and I will add it to this website for our whole school to see your awesome creation! My email address is scurran@alpinedistrict.org.
