The following are Make-up Assignments for choir. The links for each make-up assignment is located in the section below this description.
The Rehearsal Make-up form should be done every day of choir that is missed, excused or unexcused. This will make up for the learning that we did that day.
The Responsibility Assignment is to make up credit for assignments that were late, or that were not correctly completed on time. First, the assignment needs to be fully completed, and then the Responsibility Assignment can be done to gain the points lost by turning in assignments late or incomplete.
The Performance Make-up Form, and the In Class Performance Make-up Form can be used to make up Performances, or Uniform (Auditorium) Rehearsals that a student needs to miss. First, Mr. Thornton needs to be notified that a student will be missing the event ASAP (preferably a month or more before the event) and then the student can begin the work of making up the event. This can be done before or after the event, and is a significant project that will take around 4-6 hours to complete.
The Rehearsal Skills Assignment is an essential standard that I evaluate all year. There is one grade for this assignment, and it is the largest portion of the grade for choir. The rubric on the assignment above explains each level. Print off the Assignment and then come talk to me about what you need to do to demonstrate the learning and raise your grade.
