1) Look at current Booklet Cover Page. There is a drop down link called Booklets from the Home page, as well as a link under the Homework tab. Here you will find a blank booklet tab and an answer key/video tab. The Cover Page with all of the dates and notes/assignment numbers on it. Once you know what notes and assignments to do, go to the student booklet. The student should have a booklet already. If not, you can print one from the website.
2) Go to the BOOKLETS AND LESSON VIDEOS tab and the sub tab UNIT BOOKLET KEYS AND LESSON VIDEOS. There will be a written answer key for the booklet notes. There will be a video of the instruction. Watch the video and complete the notes while watching. There may be other videos or links on the Math Help Tab that students can access if they are still confused. Students should already have the booklet, if they have been in school. If they don't have one and you don't want to print it, come to the school and we will give you one. Or look at the computer screen and copy it on a lined piece of paper. Please copy the notes and watch the video BEFORE attempting to do the Practice.
3) Go to the Practice in the booklet. Here you will show your work in the booklet for your Practice work. If you don't have your booklet then look at the computer screen and copy it on a lined piece of paper.
4) Complete your Practice.
5) Check your Practice. Go to the Booklet Keys and Videos tab here on the website, to find the answer key for your Practice problems. You will need to scroll through the booklet to the correct page to find the answer key for that particular Practice assignment. All assignments handed in should represent Quality work. Which includes the following:
· A SCORE OF 90% or Better WRITTEN AT THE TOP OF THE ASSIGNMENT.
· In Delta Math, it is self checking and you will need to get 100%. There are short help videos for each question in Delta Math.
· Students need to show their work as they have been taught in class. If a student has not shown their work, they will get a 0 until they re-submit showing the work correctly. Delta Math will automatically submit your assignment. Students will not have to take a picture of their Delta Math Practice assignment.
6) Take a picture of all pages of the Practice assignment in the booklet. Please make sure that the picture(s) are a jpg. and that they are a clear, not blurry image and easy to read from the picture. We do not want pictures of the lesson notes, just the Practice page(s). Delta Math will automatically submit your assignment. Students will not have to take a picture of their Delta Math Practice assignment.
7) Submit your picture in Canvas in the correct module. I would suggest using the Canvas Student app on your phone to submit. Make sure your Notifications are turned on in Canvas, so you can see the teacher comments. Go under Notifications on the left side of your Canvas page and turn on the Submissions Comments.
8) The Skills Checks quizzes are posted in Canvas. There isn't an access code so students may also do this from home if needed. A student is allowed unlimited attempts on these Skills Checks quizzes until the final day of the unit. After this day, the Skills Checks quizzes will be locked. Students must have them done, even if they have been absent on or before this day.
9) If a student misses a test (EQ or RQ) due to an absence, please reach out to the teacher to make arrangements for making up the test. It must be done in the class, with the teacher. It can be done before or after school or during Pride Time.
If you have any questions, please look under the Math Helps tab for both content and Canvas help. If you are still struggling, please email your teacher with questions and your teacher can direct you further.
