In 2012 AlphaPlus created a set of Illustrative Case Studies that showed how programs work with and integrate digital technology in adult literacy programming. These case studies also helped us learn about the opportunities and challenges that programs face.
One useful outcome of our work this year is that we now feel more able to develop illustrative case studies from our case notes more regularly and without special project funding. For example, we created a mini-case study for the September 2018 newsletter.
As we continue to collect richer data, we can highlight the innovative ways that practitioners are transforming the programs where they work and the processes they engage in when they are making changes in up-to-date case studies. We will mobilize practitioner knowledge by using what we document in our case notes to inform the field about promising practices and effective solutions. These case studies will inform our work at AlphaPlus and the work of LBS practitioners.
