Meet Dr. Amanda Lacerda

Dr. Amanda Lacerda believes that a dental office should feel like a place where patients feel comfortable, respected, and truly cared for. That’s why at ALMA Dental, she has created a judgment-free space where patients receive clear, honest treatment plans, gentle care, and no pressure—just the best options for their health.

Dr. Lacerda earned her Doctor of Dental Medicine (DMD) from the University of British Columbia, one of North America's top-ranked dental schools. With advanced clinical training in general and restorative dentistry, she takes a meticulous, gentle approach, always prioritizing long-term oral health and exceptional treatment outcomes. She is also a Fellow in Implantology and Periodontology at the International Academy of Dental Implantology and an active member of the San Diego Advanced Study Group, continuously refining her skills with the latest advancements in dentistry.

Dr. Lacerda's passion for dentistry is paralleled by her love for the outdoors and quality time spent with her husband and two dogs, Mickey and Minnie. Whether it’s enjoying the calm of the beach, paddle boarding along the coast, hiking scenic trails, or playing pickleball and volleyball, she embraces every moment with enthusiasm. Her leisure time is characterized by joyous laughter and the warmth of gatherings with friends and family.

Fluent in English and Portuguese, Dr. Lacerda is proud to serve the diverse Point Loma community.
