Tentative Schedule

2026 Program Year

January 30, 2026 - March 15, 2026

• Application open. The Project Leadership Team will extend offers to exceptionally qualified candidates with complete application packages on a rolling basis. 

• Application closes March 15, 2026. We will accept late applications only if we have available space.

February 1 - April 1, 2026

• Notification of acceptance due to Program Coordinator.

May 30 -May 31, 2026

• Travel to Alma, Michigan, and move into campus housing.

June 1 - August 1

• June 1: RESS program starts, including weekly professional development

• June 1 - 5: Meet advisory board. Participate in pre-program evaluation (in-person).

• August 1: Symposium and Roundtable presentations

August 1 - 3

• Move out of campus housing

August 2026

• Participate in post-program evaluation (online, synchronous)

Fall 2026 - Winter 2027

• Meet monthly (online, synchronous) to continue developing lesson and/or unit plans, conference presentation proposals, and/or research paper submissions, as needed. (Stipend available to support this after-summer work.)

• Attend (and hopefully present your work at) a scientific conference with your faculty mentor and peer RESS participant(s).
