Attendees at the May 30, 2024 Conference
As part of this NSF-funded Improving Undergraduate STEM Education grant, on May 30, 2024, P.I. Dr. Brian Hancock (Education) and co-P.I. Dr. Amanda Harwood (Biology and Environmental Studies) hosted an on-campus conference to (a) share findings and materials of their IUSE Program and (b) engage post-secondary STEM and science teacher education faculty from Michigan around research-based developments related to supporting preservice elementary teachers’ STEM learning.
Dr. Marti Canipe (Northern Arizona University) joined us as our invited speaker. During her presentation, Dr. Canipe shared her work to cultivate curiosity with preservice elementary teachers. You can access her presentation HERE.
Participant attendees later shared their own work about "What's worked, and how?" in their respective science education contexts.
