School Uniform π
Please adhere to the uniform policy which can be found here: ASB School Uniform policyΒ
Reporting absences: π±
We would like to kindly remind all parents especially those who have joined our school in Nursery, Reception or across the school, that parents/carers need to call the school to report their childβs absence before 8:30am on the day of the absence and each subsequent day of absence, and advise when they are expected to return. This would massively help the office to speed up their work in the morning.
Allergies: π₯
We are a nut-free school due to several pupils having severe nut allergies. Please ensure no nuts or products containing nuts are sent to school.
Snacks: π
For the safety of all children, please cut grapes vertically in skinny halves/strips before packing them as a snack or in your child's lunch box. Grapes can completely obstruct a child's airway due to their size and shape, making them difficult to dislodge with standard first aid techniques. Young children are especially at risk of choking on grapes.Β
Late children with scooters and bikes: π΄
We kindly ask that if your child is going to be late to school, please refrain from bringing their scooter or bike to school. This disrupts the children in the classroom and disturbs a member of staff having to bring the scooter through the school.
Footwear: π«π. Β
All children in main school must wear sensible shoes; boots (including ankle style boots) and trainers are not permitted. We understand that there are times when shoes break or new ones need to be ordered and that can take a few days, but we have seen an increasing number of children wearing unsuitable footwear for extended periods. Please support us by following our uniform policy. With effect from September 2024, any children wearing incorrect footwear on arrival will be loaned a pair of black plimsolls to wear whilst in school.
Medication: π
Any medication for your child must be prescribed by a doctor and stored in the main office. Please do not send your child into school with medication of any kind.
Scooters, bicycles and rollerblades: π²
We have noticed at pickup time there are a number of younger siblings riding bicycles and scooting in the playground.Β This is dangerous as the playground is full and may result in someone being hurt.Β Please keep the bicycles and scooters with you and only allow the children to use them once they have left the school premises
Lost property: ποΈ
A lost property bin will now be left in the playground after school, please check the bin for any lost property. Please note, lost property is not kept in the office.
Dogs: π
A gentle reminder that only service dogs are allowed on the school premises. This is for health and safety reasons and we thank you in advance for your cooperation.
