BASIC INFORMATION ABOUT THE PROGRAM
Location: The program is located on Catanduanes Island. We recommend you fly to Virac Airport. You will receive the exact address once you are accepted into the program. Find out more about the local area here, and find more details about how to get there here.
Cost: Free! We provide 3 meals a day on each working day, and accommodation for the duration of your stay. Volunteers are responsible for all other expenses, including travel.
Work Days: 5.5 days a week (Monday - Saturday lunchtime) Find out more about the type of work you'll do here.

Arrival Days: Tuesdays through Thursdays
Accommodation: You can expect communal-style living with bunk beds and dormitory rooms. You will need to provide your own bedding (air mattress, sleeping bag/blanket, pillow, etc.) Find more detailed information and pictures of our accommodation here.
Meals: Breakfast, lunch, and dinner provided. Vegetarian diets can be accommodated upon request, but any other dietary preferences (vegan, gluten-free, etc.) might need to be self-supplemented.
WiFi: We do not provide Wi-FI on the base; therefore, we recommend purchasing a local SIM card to get data coverage.
Weather: The typhoon season in the Philippines usually lasts between June and November, and the rainy season starts in November and lasts through March. Be prepared for rain, mud, and humidity!
Access: You can find tiny stores in the village with only the basic needs. There are also no proper restaurants, but you can find local street vendors. The closest ATM is either in San Andres - one hour drive from base, or in Virac - one and a half hours drive.
