THE WORKSITE

WORK ACTIVITIES

Our scope of work includes Response (muck and gut and mold sanitation)

We will be helping complete muck and guts and mold sanitation primarily on homes and churches in the community.

Much of our work will be in the Johnson area, but we will also have work in Montpelier, Barre, Cabot, Marshfield, Hardwick.

TYPICAL WORKDAY

A typical workday will include lights on in the sleeping areas around 6:30am so volunteers can begin preparing for the day.

Between 6:30 and 7:50am, volunteers will have time to get dressed, eat breakfast and pack lunch, and load the work trucks with necessary supplies for the day's job. At 8am, volunteers will head to the worksites. Volunteers will take water breaks and eat lunch while on the worksite.

Around 3:30pm, volunteers will repack the work trucks and head back to Base. From 4pm to 5pm, volunteers will have around an hour (or less) to shower and relax before the mandatory evening meeting at 5.

Once the meeting has concluded, volunteers are free to enjoy their evening. Dinner will be served once ready, after the meeting. Quiet hours begin at 9:30pm in the sleeping quarters, and curfew is at 10pm on workdays.
