A Chromebook is a web-based device that connects student learning to all of the resources and information available online, anywhere, at any time. It will empower students to learn at their full potential, to communicate and collaborate on analytical thinking and problem solving, and to prepare them for their next step in life. Chromebooks use the Chrome Operating System and automatically stay up to date!
The power switch is a soft button on the right side of the Chromebook. Log in with your Allen ISD username and password.
The small white circle in the lower left corner is the Apps Launcher, where you will find pre-loaded and user-installed applications.
The shelf is the bottom row of your Chromebook and is similar to a task bar. Users can determine which applications they use most and would prefer to pin to the shelf.
