Hello everyone! My name is Mr. Carpenter and I am the new music teacher at ACES.
I recently graduated from Rowan University in December of 2020 with my degree in Music Education. Since then, I have been searching for a school to call my home. For the first chunk of this school year I was a long term music sub at Audubon High School right down the road. When I heard that ACES was in need of a music teacher, I jumped at the opportunity. Although my focus in college was Voice, I also play the piano, trumpet, guitar and bass.
After visiting ACES and even doing a demo lesson with some the students, I immediately fell in love with the school. I grew up in Logan Township, New Jersey which is about 20 minutes south of here. My elementary school was K-8 and very small, much like ACES. Because of this, I was very drawn to this school district. I currently still live in Logan with my family and dog (see picture below), but I am moving to Haddon Township in December!
I have huge plans for the music program here and am excited about the opportunity to build and shape your child's learning through music. I am so ecstatic to be starting my teaching career here at ACES and I hope your children are just as excited as I am.
If you have any concerns or questions for me, please do not hesitate to reach out to me at pcarpenter@alicecostello.com
