The Story:
During the spring while technology/media class was still remote, students took virtual tours of Amazon and saw first hand how that product in your online shopping cart gets from Amazon to you. The experience was fun, interactive and ACES students stood out with their huge personalities and insightful questions.
Additionally, individual Amazon workers held chats with some of our classes in grades 3-7th.
Because these experiences were successful and enriching and we believe our students deserve 21st Century computer science curriculum, Alice Costello School applied for a grant to bring Amazon's Future Engineer Project STEM program to our middle schooler students. After the interview process, we were selected to receive the GRANT!
Now, our middle school students will experience a 3-year project-based computer science curriculum that helps students realize their potential through real-world problem-solving.
