Runestone Area Education District was founded with one goal in mind: helping students of all ages to overcome their individual challenges and achieve personal and academic growth. We believe that through building trust and rebuilding confidence, every child can reach his or her potential.

 Runestone Area Education District is first and foremost a community of educators. Our team of professionals are here to help students
tackle learning and behavior difficulties, providing them with the tools and the guidance they need, every single day.

Our mission is to provide students with disabilities the opportunity
to reach their full potential through specialized instruction

Beliefs
Students with disabilities have the right to be provided the opportunity to reach their full potential.  The rights and worth of each individual must be respected. Parents are an integral part of team decision making. Collaboration with community agencies must exist.
The entire school community shares in the responsibility of educating students with disabilities.
Continuous training of all staff is necessary to meet the unique needs of students.
Learning of functional skills is a lifelong process.
