Principal's Message

Where did the first half of the school year go? I cannot believe that we are wrapping up the second nine weeks and getting ready to go home for winter break. I hope each of you had a Happy Thanksgiving with your families. I am reminded daily of how blessed I am. Thank you for your support during our family reading nights and taking the time to participate in these. We had great participation within each grade level. High quality instruction is continuing to take place daily. We are in the time of year for middle of the year assessments. Students will be taking their middle of the year iReady Diagnostic in both reading and math the weeks of December 6-17. Kindergarten through 3rd grade students will take their mClass middle of the year assessment in mid January. We will be able to analyze this data to see how we can better meet the needs of your child. We look forward to seeing the growth that students make on these. I want to remind you of the following dates:

Winter Break: December 20-January 3

Students have school on Tuesday, January 4th

Report Cards will go home on Monday, January 10th

No School on January 17th- Martin Luther King Jr. Holiday

No School on January 31st for Elementary Only- This is a workday for staff to participate in the state required LETRS training

No School on February 11 and 14th- Optional Teacher Workdays

No School on February 28th for Elementary Only- This is a workday for staff to participate in the state required LETRS training.
