Ms. Holman

Ms. Tiffany Holman is from Taylorsville, NC. She graduated from Alexander Central in 2019. Ms. Holman went on to further her education at Lenoir-Rhyne University in Hickory, which she gained a Bachelor's degree in music education and a Master's degree in Teaching. 

Ms. Holman was a student at Wittenburg, West Alexander Middle School (Mr. Matthew Cochran at WAMS was her band director), and finished at Alexander Central (Mr. Patrick Watkins was also one of her band directors). She was inspired at a very young age by Mr. Cochran to become a music educator herself. Much time during high school was spent in the band room, on the field, in the stands, jazz band, wind ensemble, and various other groups that were band performing groups. 

Ms. Holman is a second year teacher and completed her student teaching at Fred T. Foard high school and Arndt Middle school in Catawba county. She stepped in as the interim band director in March of 2024. While completing her student teaching she helped with football games, marching band competitions, judging at All-district, helping her cooperating teacher with All-district clinic, prepared the middle school band students at Arndt for their Spring concert, and conducted a piece with the Foard high school band in the Spring as well. 

During her time spent at Lenoir-Rhyne, Ms. Holman performed with the "Spirit" of LR Marching band, chamber woodwind ensemble, brass ensemble, Wind ensemble, Wind Symphony, pep bands, and other other ensembles throughout the years.

Ms. Holman was also highly involved academically along with some music groups that were not performance based. She was the Chapter president of NAFME (National Association for Music Educators) for two full years. She has attended the NCMEA (North Carolina Music Educators Association) conferences since 2019 and has attended many of those sessions.  

Ms. Holman loves to play her French Horn and still performs with various community groups in the area! She also plays at local churches and throughout the year at various different events. 

Ms. Holman can also be found at Home Football games for ACHS, enjoying time with the high school band!
