Understand the Seventh Grade Schedule Structure!
All seventh grade students have four core classes, 2 electives of their choice, a PE course, and an intervention period.
All seventh grade students have the option to choose between on-level or advanced RLA, Math, Science and Social Studies. See below for recommendations and things to consider when making the best choice for your child!
Seventh grade students are required to enroll in a physical education course. Students may choose between PE and Boys/Girls Athletics. Students choosing athletics will try out for Volleyball, Football Basketball and Track. Before school practices are required during the individual sports seasons. All students in athletics are required to have a completed physical on file prior to participation in any practice.

*We do our best to give you your top choices for electives, but they cannot be guaranteed. If your child is in the dyslexia program their Dyslexia class will be substituted for one elective.

*The high school courses listed above will count as a high school credit; therefore, in order to receive credit students must meet the 90% attendance requirement set forth by the State of Texas. These courses will not count towards High School GPA if taken in Middle School.*

Seventh grade students must enroll in a physcial education course. They can choose Athletics, PE or Dance. Aledo ISD requires specific physicals and paperwork to be completed before a student may participate in athletics. Please click the button to review these requirements. Join us for all things theatre! We have a blast learning stage direction, improv, and other basic theater skills.
The course selection process includes uploading courses into Ascender Student Portal and our MMS Course Selection Form. Parents and students will complete course selection at home. The MMS course selection form is open from January 4th - 20th. The Ascender Student Portal window is open from January 9th - 20th.
It is important for all students to complete both steps in this process. The MMS Course Selection form is a tool to use for pre-planning and to guide discussions at home in order to select the most appropriate courses for your child. The form includes alternate elective choices ranked by preference and serves as a back up of your course selections. If you need to make changes to your selections after January 20th, please complete a course section change form.
