Understand the Eighth Grade Schedule Structure!
All eighth grade students have four core classes, 2 electives of their choice, College & Career Readiness/Health, and an intervention period.
All eighth grade students have the option to choose between on-level or advanced RLA, Science, Social Studies and on-level Math or Algebra 1. See below for recommendations and things to consider when making the best choice for your child!
Explore all of the elective* choices we have and decide which ones interest you most!
ALL eighth grade students will be enrolled in College & Career Readiness/Health. This is a required high school credit course.
Middle school students are required to have 2 PE credits. PE credit is not required in eighth grade if your child has already has 2 PE credits from 6th & 7th grade. If your child chooses PE or Athletics this will serve as one of their two elective choices.
*We do our best to give you your top choices for electives, but they cannot be guaranteed. If your child is receiving dyslexia instruction, their Dyslexia class will be substituted for one elective.
